Supernatural Encounters - a Hindu God and Two Indian Demons

These paragraphs on precious meetings with the Hindu God, Ganesha, and two encounters with Indian demonic forces, are excerpted from my book, My Guru, My Guide

In 2006 my husband and I travelled to India - it was my first visit to this incredible land.
We stayed with friends for a period of time in the city of Gurgaon, which lay to the south of Delhi. Much of the city was newly constructed midst the dust of demolished villages, and we found it a strange city of massive apartment buildings, preying multi-national organizations, and a surplus of imposing western-style shopping malls. Displaced villagers lived in lean-to slums and provided manpower for the construction industry. The psychic field of the city of Gurgoan was disquieting to Rama and I, and it was during our time there that I encountered two of India’s demonic forces, before I had any direct experience of the Hindu Gods.
One night, while lying in bed, I reached psychically out towards a dog who was yelping as if in terror. For the past several weeks I heard the intense fear of this dog every evening at around the same time. This sound was distressing to me, and it had come to epitomize the pain that I felt in this city of suffering. Within a moment of extending myself psychically toward the dog, I was rushed upon by an enormous demonic force, and for several moments had psychic vision of its form. A single body moved towards me as one entity, while it's thousand heads flashed before my inner eye. This demonic being was an accumulation of psychic forces; each face contorted in a fearsome display of human suffering – torment, rage, anguish, disease, agony, terror, starvation, death. The memory of this vision is imprinted in my mind.
(Before seeing this demon I didn't understand the depictions of the Hindu Gods with many heads or arms, but now I do. The demon appeared much like this amazing Temple statue of a Hindu God, below, only its fearsome heads were in many rows, not just the one row that this deity has. It was a truly terrible sight to behold!)

Without hesitation I turned to my Guru, invoking His presence and calling upon His supreme help. Immediately He responded, psychically entering my room as a great Force. I became a spectator to a fierce battle between the powers of Light and darkness. For several frightening minutes great forces thrashed about my room, and then to my intense gratitude and relief, the demon fled from my Guru. Remarkably I did not hear the dog again for the rest of our stay in Gurgaon.
The second demon woke me from sleep several months later, one early morning before sunrise. Often at that time I heard a man coughing on the other side of the fenced courtyard outside my bedroom window, as he passed with his cart on the way to work. His cough was a terrible sound and I wondered if he had some kind of cancer in his throat.
On this morning the sound entered my dream, and the man’s coughing became the very voice of a demon speaking my name. In horror I awoke, realizing that this was not just occurring in my dream, as I could still hear my name being called by a demonic voice, speaking through the hacking, retching cough of the poor man outside our home. In the next moment I felt the force of psychic attack, and called upon my Guru’s great help. Again He came to my aid immediately and I witnessed another terrible struggle between the Light and the dark. At the end of the brief but raging battle, as the dawn was breaking, I could hear the man outside, with a clear voice now, weeping and softly laughing to himself in relief and happiness. He was obviously giving thanks, now freed from the demonic force. I, too, gave thanks to my Guru, and shuddered to think what my fate may have been if not for His great Help.
For a long time neither my husband or I heard the coughing again, though I frequently looked for the man with the cart, as I hoped to see how his life had changed since being freed from the demon. Shortly before we left Gurgaon I heard the coughing one more time, and expressed my concern to Rama. He reminded me that perhaps the poor man’s destiny would not change unless he also made changes in himself. In other words, the demonic force would only be attracted back to him unless he submitted to changing his own patterning. I wished that somehow I could help him further, as I had encountered the demon which plagued this man’s life, and felt utter sympathy for him.
While these experiences in India were far from the first times I had witnessed human life being interfered with by psychic forces, they were definitely among the more graphic examples that I have experienced!
My Guru had at times spoken about His work with dark forces which threaten our planet – work which is far greater than the battles that I have witnessed in my rooms. I feel it as my greatest responsibility in life to support His all-important work. I do this in whatever ways I can, in my meditation, prayer and healing service.

A great gift that I received in India was to meet another Force of Divinity which is very much alive in our world. To my great delight, when staying in Chennai, on three occasions over a two-day period, I received the incredible honour of visitations from Lord Ganesha, the beautiful Hindu God who has the form of an elephant-man.

Ganesha is a gentle yet powerful Hindu God with apparently the biggest following of any of the deities of India. I had not any history of connection with Him, to my conscious mind.
In the midst of meditation one afternoon, I was flooded with visual images of Lord Ganesha, who brought with Him the gifts of great love and hope. His role as the remover of obstacles was unmistakable, and was offered both to me personally, and to all of humankind who welcome and honor His Divinely benign influence in their lives. I perceived His role as Divine conduit to the processes of Light in this world. Lord Ganesha visited me as elephant-God-man, coming very close to my face, offering His affection and utter sweetness, allowing me to psychically ‘touch’ His soft skin and gaze into His infinitely gentle eyes. As elephant-God-child He came playfully, asking for sweets and games, and I psychically ‘massaged’ His beautiful elephant-like feet. I immediately felt a love response toward Him, and still find Him present with me on a regular basis, experiencing Him tangibly as a force of Love and Light, and radiating blessing energy to the entire planet.
I felt greatly Blessed to be given such personal regard from a Hindu God, and to receive such potent demonstration of the beautiful sacred tradition of India. The Hindu religion is so beautiful, with it's understanding of the many aspects of the One Divine Source, manifested in the multitude of deities, like rays of Divine Light descending to the earth from the universal Sun.
