The Wisdom of Adi Da Samraj on Death and Dying
From Easy Death, Avatar Adi Da's text on death and dying -
Death is not a permanent event or effect.
Death is simply a transition to further experience. Death is a transforming event that prepares you for another birth just as it stands before you now, motivating you toward ego-transcending surrender during your lifetime. Death and rebirth are the inevitable cycle of your existence until (by Means of Divine Grace) you grow and surrender and serve beyond the limits of all the schools of cosmic Nature, and so Emerge permanently into the "Bright" Divine Self-Domain, Where you will exist in Inherently Perfect Self-Identification with the Divine Being, as well as in Inherently Perfect Relationship with the Divine Being. So be it.
The book, Easy Death is the publication of Bhagavan Adi Da's essays on death and dying. It is a profound gift to the world. This page is dedicated to this book, with gratitude to my Guru.

Beyond Fear of Death and Dying
From "There Is No Individual self' That Dies" Easy Death AVATAR ADI DA SAMRAJ: The difference between ordinary self-contracted awareness and Divine Enlightenment is that in ordinary self-contracted awareness you identify with the conventional (or phenomenal) self, while in Divine Enlightenment there is Most Perfect Identification with (and Realization of) the Divine Reality. This is the only difference. Thus, depending on what you identify with, you will live in either one of two ways. One is the usual round of obsession, fear, and seeking in which the egoic self is the actor and the meaning of the drama. The other is the Way of Unlimited Intelligence, Love, Freedom, Spontaneity, and Infinite Happiness. Previous to Divine Enlightenment, you fear death and, therefore, you want to discover something about death which can make you feel hopeful about surviving. That is why people like to study occult and "life-after-life" phenomena. They like to hear conventional religious stories, such as the legend that Jesus of Nazareth was resurrected and ascended to heaven. Whatever the factual or historical authenticity of such stories may be, they are all interpreted as hopeful signs for the ego. Thus, you will remain fascinated by death, even to the point of being relatively self-destructive because (in some sense) you want to find out about it, even though you fear it. You continue to read studies about "after-life" phenomena, always hoping to hear that it has been proven to the satisfaction of both science and you personally that you are going to survive death. However it is not the mystery of death that you must penetrate in order to be free of fear. Rather, you must transcend this concoction of ego-stress and self-contraction while alive. In order to die free of fear, you must be in a different disposition toward life altogether. Instead of presuming the ego-position, you must live from the "Point of View" of the Divine Reality (Itself). Then both your present existence and all its future changes-and-dying will be allowed very simply and naturally much like going to sleep at night. You will not merely have gained some consoling knowledge about death. Fear does not result from the lack of such knowledge. Fear is caused by ego-stress and, therefore, fear must be transcended while alive. The Spiritual process is a way of transcending the mechanism of fear (moment to moment).

What Is Beyond Death?
From the essay "The Cosmic Mandala" Easy Death
AVATAR ADI DA SAMRAJ: . . . in the near-death experience, and also in the death experience (which will come to everyone), attention moves directly into, through, and beyond the subtler mechanism of the brain and nervous system, and then (ultimately) into the Source of phenomena, mind, and the mechanics of attention. The Source of phenomenal appearances is a Great Power. It Is Love-Blissful Energy... In Reality, It is the Self-Radiant Light of the Very Divine Being (Itself) in Which you inhere, and within Which you are appearing (as a transparent, or merely apparent, and un-necessary, and inherently non-binding modification).
How to prepare for death and dying
An excerpt from "The Truth About Death" an essay from Easy Death
Avatar Adi Da Samraj: You should prepare for death and dying as a process of complete surrender and release of all physical, emotional, and mental clinging to the present body-mind, its relations, and this world. Your death should be a complete release of this present "school" and a complete relinquishment of the present design and content of your conditional self. You should fully consent to die at the moment of death, and so be released toward what is new and awaiting you (above and beyond the "realities" of the present body-mind). Your ability to do this will be either enhanced or limited to the same degree that you are able to surrender while alive in the Divine Love-Bliss-Consciousness That Is Real God. Therefore, in order for death to be an ecstatic transition for you, you must not only study and prepare for the specific and terminal process of death itself, but (while alive) you must also devote yourself to an ecstatic (or ego-transcending) way of life.
